Once the Lap Band surgery is done, it is very important to maintain health. If you are not serious about your health, then there would be no use of going for this weight loss surgery. It is so because the primary goal of yours is to reduce your obesity. And until and unless you take proper care of your health, your obesity would not be gone; no matter how many time you go for the lap band surgery.
After the Lap Band surgery, you can take proper care of your health by doing regular exercise. The exercise should be the most important part of your daily routine after your diet. You need to exercise regularly and that too without fail. You can either exercise in the morning or in the evening. Immediately after the surgery, don’t indulge yourself in rigorous exercise. Light exercise is needed through which the calories can be burned. Some of the exercises that you can go for are swimming, jogging, walking etc. If you are not able to take out time for the exercise, then it is advisable that at least go for a 10 minutes walk either after lunch or dinner.
Excess of every thing is bad. Exercise is important to maintain the health after the lap band surgery; but it does not mean that you should indulge in such activities that can be detrimental for health. Don’t you ever do push ups after the surgery. By doing this exercise, it would have direct impact on your stomach and the chances are there that the lap band might slip down; which in turn you would have to go for surgery again. Apart from that you should never for any exercise just before and after the meals. Also don’t indulge in any strenuous exercise where the chances of your falling down are there like skating etc.
