We often believe that once the Lap-Band® surgery is done, we would get rid of our obesity. But by simply going for this weight loss surgery does not guarantee a slim body and a stunning figure. In fact there are lots more to it. One of the most important things after the Lap-Band® surgery you need to focus upon is to start a fitness program and regular exercise. If you had been doing regular exercise, then neither you would become obese nor there would be any need for the Lap-Band® surgery. But now you would have to be conscious about your health and need to perform regular exercise to ward off obesity.




Making exercise your daily routine as well as habit after the Lap-Band® surgery should be your primary goal. Soon after the surgery, you can try out the simple aerobic exercises like walking and swimming. It is generally recommended that every day, you should go for half an hour walk, either in the morning or in evening. The important thing that you must remember is to break the sweat during the exercise. When you sweat, then you are burning the calories from your body. If you are not able to give time to the exercise in the morning or evening, then it is advisable that you should opt for some light exercises y taking a break in your work time.




Excess of every thing is bad. Regular exercise is important after the Lap-Band® surgery to keep you fit and healthy. But it does not mean that you should over do it. You got to remember that you are just fresh from the surgery and any kind of strenuous exercise can have adverse effect on your body; especially your stomach where the Lap-Band® is attached. Don’t exercise for long hours; just one hour a day is more than enough. Don’t indulge in those kinds of activities where there are some chances of falling down; for example ice skating, rollerblading etc. If you fall while doing these activities, then it would definitely jeopardize the Lap-Band® attached to your stomach.
